About Me

Candace is a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the State of California specializing in individual, couples, family, and group psychotherapy. She sees children, adolescents, adults, and seniors and maintains a private practice in Camarillo, California.

With nine years of experience as a clinician, and a graduate of Pepperdine University specializing in Clinical Psychology with an Emphasis in Marriage and Family Therapy, she is currently serving as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Among her areas of expertise are individual, couples, families, and group psychotherapy working with a range of clients aged 6 to 96.

In addition, Candace has conducted psychoeducational groups covering a range of topics such as: relationships, communication, anger management, and parenting skills.

Candace is a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist. Her treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns. She incorporates a blend of conventional and alternative approaches, drawing upon a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. With sensitivity and compassion, she works with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

Additional Training: Trainee and Internship at Morbrook Institute; Basic and Intermediate American Society of Clinical Hypnosis {ASCH} accredited Hypnosis training; multiple continuing education courses and seminars.

License, Certifications & Awards: Candace is licensed by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences, license MFC 42916. She has received a number of awards related to her volunteer work in her community and in her profession.

Professional Activities and Memberships ~ Candace holds memberships in:  the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists {CAMFT};  the Ventura County Chapter of CAMFT where she served as a Board Member for two years;  the Christian Counselors Association of Ventura County;  and the Southern California Society of Clinical Hypnosis {SCSCH}.
